Greetings All!
My name is Jeff Wilcox and I am a Jesus junkie! There, I said it! I admit it! I am hooked on Jesus! My prayer is that I never get to the point where I think I can manage without my daily dose of His Word. Glory to God!
I am 55 years young and I am married to my high school sweetheart and the love of my life. We have two wonderful childern and six of the greatest grandchildren in the world, and the best thing is they all love Jesus. Another thing they all have in common is every one of them enjoys archery. Well all except Jackson who has just started walking, but he will be shooting before he is two years old. I can almost guarantee it!
My wife (girlfriend at the time) led me to the Lord when I was 17 years old. We were married two years later and moved from Lockport, Illinois to Greenville, Michigan in 1973. This is when I discovered the passion Jesus had given me for the outdoors and hunting, especially hunting with the bow and arrow.
It was July 5, 1995 when the Lord literally saved me from a heart attack and gave me a whole new meaning to a new life in Christ. It was then when He started to give me the vision of combining my passion for Him and bow hunting together for my life’s ministry. Since that time I have dedicated myself to doing just that.
In 1999, I joined up with the Christian Bow Hunters of America and by the spring of 2000 we started a new chapter in Greenville, Michigan. We have been advancing the Kingdom of God ever since. Then a couple of years ago, one of my dearest friends (Jim “Linus” Duflo) introduced me to Andy “Iedwd” Kaminski and the Rugged Cross Outdoors Team. What an awesome bunch of guys and what a great ministry. Well, at that point, I knew somehow and in some way I needed to get hooked up with these guys and this ministry.
My passion is to see the body of Christ come together as one and to work together to build the Kingdom of God as one family. There are many obstacles and obstructions that keep His body of believers from functioning together as a whole and unified church of Christ. I believe RCO is one of these tools that will help tear down obstacles and move the obstructions causing the separation of His glorious church.
God Bless and good hunting!
